This is getting a bit spooky. Unemployment is going up. Cost of living is going up. Housing values are going down. The stock markets are going down. My toke rate has taken a very hard hit. When will this all start to turn around. Something is going to need to change. Nooksack a fellow casino in our area has just layed off 45 people. At our casino we are expanding… Maybe that is because we have more of a candian player base and there economy is doing just fine? The time has come to start looking for decent hourly pay jobs? I am starting to put in applications at other places. I have also been thinking about other casinos. Really gaming around the country is taking a bit of a hit though since people dont have as much of a dispossible income. Maybe I should just accept my new rate of pay and hope it gets better. With large finiancial institutions going under that does not seem to good either. What about the people with all there 401ks managed there.

Things may start to look up after novemember. I could see a lot of uncertainty between the two canidates. Mainly I am concerned about taxes and so forth as that is all the really effects me. But then again it comes around full circle like it is now. Us as the united states have out sourced so many jobs its now coming around to bite us in the ass. There are less jobs for people which would mean less money being pumped back into the economy. That is what would be nice to see fixed. We should go back to producing our own product and that should bring the economy back around. You have to start at the ground floor.

For now I guess its time to hang on and wait. Otherwise there are always good jobs in the air force, army, marines, customs, border, or anything that has to do with working for the feds. That may be the best bet. If anyone knows of any new casinos opening let me know it may be time just to move closer to some people with money that like to share :) . Our seattle customers are great but our candian player base cant pay our rent. No offence to the candian readers its just the way they are. It takes a lot more to get something out of a candian then it does someone from seattle. How do I know where you are from? Its easy I ask almost all my customers as part of the routine.

  1. why do you put up depressing stuff on the family site! it should be all fun and smiles! love you anyways. thanks for taking my idea buy the way!

  2. yes, for now it is scarey watching the economy crumble, slow & steady will come through, no panic, just spend wisely & hang in there :) It will turn around just who knows how soon eh? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush (old saying) you both have paying jobs so thank goodness for that. Always do keep your mind open to change but don’t make rash choices, slow & steady wins the race LOL
Hope this works, not sure if it will accept my comment, I have trouble getting around web sites, old dog that can’t seem to learn new tricks. Lots of old sayings here today :D

  3. Hey now if I want to write about depressing stuff I will. Lets see some of the content you write! Oh wait there is none!

Good job on making your first comment nan! :D

  4. sure, it is an uneasy time for everyone. back to basics. be happy that we have jobs (even if they aren’t our dream jobs they help pay the bills). cut back on any “extra” expenses. and be content with the simple things in life such as enjoying a walk around the neighborhood, playing with our kids, hugging a loved one :) may just be time to pull out the board games and have a couple of friends over….like I said, back to basics. hang in there and remember that we are a rich family….RICH IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!
